PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am currently working as a Clinical Informatics Specialist at Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, TN where I've lead analytics and reporting surrounding the COVID-19 crisis while also creating and maintaining various performance dashboards for system leadership. I love the constant change in the health services industry and strive to create actionable analyses and visualizations that are meaningful to key decision-makers and spark discussion for process and performance improvement. I am passionate about healthcare quality, operations, and data analytics, but am open to opportunities where I can improve my skills and provide service to the healthcare industry with a data-driven approach.

ABOUT AMANDA RICHEY

Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, I moved away to attend the University of Kentucky for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I was elected Vice President of Education in Alpha Omicron Pi, was a founding member and treasurer of the UK Club Softball team, and studied abroad independently in France, instilling in me the values of teamwork, leadership, and maintaining composure in stressful situations. I began college interested in health sciences, but found my niche in Accounting and Management. After combining my passion for healthcare with my interest and aptitude for numbers, I completed two summer internships in healthcare finance and accounting and decided to continue my education by earning a Master's in Health Administration. Now, I’m looking for new challenges and hope to venture even further down my chosen career path, continuing to learn as I go. Find out more about me by getting in touch.

October 2019 - Present

Developed comprehensive COVID Dashboard while serving as system COVID lead analyst. Provided analysis of COVID population metrics to executive leadership and key decision-makers. Collaborated with service line leaders to develop service line dashboards and program analyses. Utilized various reporting systems to build, test, and validate ad-hoc reports

FINANCIAL OPERATIONS ANALYST, ASCENSION SAINT THOMAS

July 2017 - October 2019

Generated financial and operational reports related to payroll, expenses, and clinical performance. Created and regularly updated hospital dashboards for executive leadership team. Calculated upcoming year’s annual budgets for physician contract expenses. Managed Physician On-Call and Charity Service contracts in cooperation with Chief Medical Officers. Assisted with implementation of new productivity reporting tool.
